What Happened At MAROC FASHION WEEK ?

Maroc Fashion Week is an event that is essential both nationally and internationally. Within Morocco, there are not nearly enough fashion events to promote this industry, which holds a wealth of potential. Moroccan designers, models, bloggers, stylists, magazines, and all elements related to fashion not only exist but have also demonstrated their strong presence as game changers in the global fashion scene.

On an international level, it has been a long time since the capital of fashion has been confined to the West, places like Paris, London, Milan, and New York. Countries in the East and other parts of the world deserve recognition beyond being pigeonholed into a category labeled as ethnic style.

Maroc Fashion Week serves as a priceless platform to broaden the fashion narrative beyond what is typically showcased in VOGUE.
Its aim is to welcome fresh talent rather than just new faces, as these creatives have always existed but have not been included in the narrow circle of fame dictated by a limited committee.
The decision-makers in the global fashion industry may lack the time and resources to seek talent beyond their boundaries, however, they will take notice if a star emerges from anywhere in the world.
Events like Maroc Fashion Week shine a light on such talents.

The enchanting venue, the sunset timing, the atmosphere created by the attendees, and the music all contributed to an ambiance reminiscent of a dream, everything felt serene and beautiful, without any chaos or stress.

Backstage, led by Farah El Ouali, Morocco's leading makeup artist and owner of a stunning academy, the models were punctual for their hair and makeup, with everyone prepared an hour before showtime.

The runway captivated everyone with the exquisite work from various designers, but Mina Binebine truly stood out. We are confident that Anna Wintour would have been impressed had she been present.

Mina introduced her collection, "Dawn of the Kingdom," during MFW, showcasing a remarkable variety of creativity.
The collection included pants, dresses, shorts, and each model represented a different facet of feminine, elegant, rebellious, chic, casual, and artsy. The color palette drew inspiration from the dawn of Mina's city, Marrakesh, featuring shades of baby blue, pastel pink, and terracotta.

Staying true to her love for corsets, a signature piece of her designs, she incorporated them into the overall looks instead of using them as standalone pieces. Notably, she managed to blend a corset with a Mdama, the traditional Moroccan belt, creating a unique accessory for one of the runway looks.

Mina Binebine is not only one of Morocco's finest fashion designers, she has also emerged as one of the best designers in the world, a fact evident to everyone who attended the event on the night of April 26th in Marrakesh.
